Our founders, longtime residents of Fort Bend County, recognized that the many existing charitable organizations providing essential services to children and families faced increasing demands to raise the funds necessary to meet the needs of current and future programs. The founders came together to create Fort Bend Cares to help provide supplemental funds for these worthy organizations.
The Foundation generates funding from private individual and corporate donations, as well as through several fund-raising activities held throughout the year. Our Grants Committee carefully reviews the applications for disbursements each year, implementing policies and procedures put in place to ensure that all funds we disburse correspond with the vision and mission of Fort Bend Cares.
